Keeping track of newly synthesized or acquired compounds, tracking their physical properties and tests, and assigning unique identifiers is essential to any chemical R&D organization. All organizations, whether a small laboratory or large corporation, need some way to track this information.Registration System is a user friendly web based application for storing and searching over a proprietary chemical registry. The registry contains pure compounds and batches while managing salts, automatic duplicate checking and unique ID assignments.
New compounds are entered through a web form, and chemical, along with non-chemical, data is kept in a temporary storage area. When the compound is registered, it is compared for uniqueness via a configurable, stereoselective duplicate check, and assigned a registry number. All information about the compound, including its test data and other syntheses, is tracked by the registry number.
Features Included
Automatic Registry Number Assignment
Each registered compound is assigned a unique registration number with a configurable format. Registration numbers not only organize your data, but promote sharing data between departments.
Duplicate Checking with Override
When compounds are registered, the structure is checked for novelty. If a duplicate already exists in the database, the user can elect to register the information as a new batch of the existing compound, or assign it a unique registry number.
Chemical Property Prediction and Name Generation
Chemical properties such as formula weight and percent active compound are automatically calculated for any record submitted with a structure. Names for compounds can also be automatically generated by CambridgeSoft's Struct = Name.
Batch Compound Registration
Load any ChemFinder database into Registration Enterprise through the use of ChemLoader, CambridgeSoft's batch loading application. ChemFinder can seamlessly convert your SDFiles into a database for easy import into Registration Enterprise.
Oracle Role Based Security
Usernames and passwords are linked to predefined roles in Oracle. These roles control which buttons are available after login, limiting the abilities of lower level users. Application administrators are permitted full control, while another user may only be able to search over the registration database.
Integration with Inventory Enterprise
Create Inventory Enterprise containers for registered compounds with the click of a button. Sharing data between applications limits the possibility of data entry error. If a change is made to the record in Registration Enterprise, it is reflected in Inventory Enterprise.
Multiple Configuration Options
Define how you would like to view salts, what type of sequence is used for registration numbers and batches, and which fields appear in a form. Configure forms to contain only fields you are interested in and add additional fields if they are necessary. Customize the look and feel of the forms (e.g. add your company logo) to fit your organization. User administration and data entry are done through simple, easy-to-learn web forms. A highly configurable system avoids tedious and expensive customization.
Web Based User Interface
While the business logic of Registration System is complex, its user interface is clean and simple. Web browser support for Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer, plus a choice of ChemDraw Plugin, ActiveX or Java client tools are provided. This significantly reduces training time and cost of client maintenance.
